| Amblyopia & Strabismus
Amblyopia, also known as “lazy eye”, refers to
an eye that does not see well even with glasses or contact lenses.
Strabismus is a condition in which the eyes do not point at the
same place and is also referred to as a “crossed eye.”
Depending on the severity, needs and desires of
the patient, therapy is available for both amblyopia and strabismus.
Sometimes this is done in conjunction with a strabismus surgery,
but surgery is not always necessary. These conditions are best treated
if detected early in childhood.
